Comments: My right rotator cuff was totally destroyed and I was awaiting reverse total shoulder replacement that was scheduled for after a special 3 week trip. I was experiencing a lot of nighttime shoulder pain making it impossible to sleep. Dr Mates gave me an injection of PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) with the hopes that it would help with the inflammation and thereby decrease the pain. It was like a miracle! I still had pain during the day with certain movements, but was able to sleep soundly at night. I am so grateful that he offered me this treatment!
